Simon is now in pre-production on his next project – the short action/thriller “Officer Down”. Set amidst a divided country, with fear and civil unrest at it’s peak, the topical and pulse-pounding film tells the story of a young British police officer, Alex Trent, who must overcome his fears and bias to save an enemy that could be his only hope. Meanwhile, “I Am the Doorway” continues to go from strength to strength at festivals around the world, where it has so far netted a total of 7 awards, including “Best Film” at the prestigious Screamfest in Los Angeles and the Audience Award for “Best Short” at Sci-Fi London.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

2018 has been a rollercoaster year, with Simon’s latest short “I Am the Doorway”, adapted from Stephen King’s original story, making its debut on the festival circuit. The film has so far picked up 5 awards, including:

Audience Award – Sci Fi London (World Premiere)

Best Short Film – Screamfest

Outstanding Short Film – Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival

Best VFX – Spooky Empire

The H.P. Lovecraft Award – Rhode Island International Film Festival

A huge congratulations to all of the cast and crew for their hard work.

In other news, the second and final series of Simon’s web series “Horizon” was released, and can be viewed now in its entirety at http://www.horizonwebseries.com, where you can also buy the film on Blu Ray or DVD.

Simon’s Stephen King adaptation “I Am the Doorway” had its world premiere in London this month at the Sci-Fi London Film Festival, where it received the Audience Award for Best Short Film!

The official trailer for Simon’s latest project “I Am the Doorway” is now live!

Based on the short story of the same name by Stephen King, the film follows former astronaut Arthur (Simon Merrells) who now believes himself the doorway to a terrifying alien invasion and must take desperate action.

Simon is currently in post-production on his adaptation of Stephen King’s “I Am the Doorway”, starring Simon Merrells (Spartacus: War of the Damned, Knightfall) and Grant Masters (Silent Witness, Secrets & Lies).

With picture locked and a fantastic original score by Luis Ascanio, just a few visual FX shots remain before the film is complete.

Simon has just wrapped production on the second and final series of “Horizon”, a science fiction web series about an alien ship arriving over the city of Bristol in the UK. The first 10 episodes are currently available to view online for free at:

Simon has just wrapped shooting on his latest short, the sci-fi horror “I Am the Doorway”, based on the Stephen King story of the same name. The film shot for 6 days near Dumfries in Scotland and is currently in post-production.

Official Synopsis:

“After a journey to investigate desolate Pluto, astronaut Arthur returns home a shattered man. He sees eyes forcing their way through the skin of his hands, eyes that distort his friends and the landscape itself into monstrous visions. Believing himself the doorway to alien invasion and gruesome murder, he must take desperate action.”

Simon is currently prepping his next short film “I Am The Doorway”, based on the Stephen King short story of the same name. Production is scheduled to take place over one week in March, on location in Dumfries, Scotland. For the latest follow the film on Facebook or Twitter!

His last short “Watch Over Me” is now available in full on Youtube. A 30 minute action thriller, the film follows a lone drifter with a dark past, for whom a chance meeting offers one last shot at redemption…

Simon is currently filming the second and final season of the award winning science fiction web series “Horizon”, which has been screening at festivals around the world throughout 2016. The first 10 episodes are still available for free at www.horizonwebseries.com and a trailer for the new series will be live from the 18th December.

Simon is also prepping to shoot his next short, “I Am The Doorway”, a sci-fi horror from the master of the genre, Stephen King. The film will be based on his short story of the same name, which appears in the collection “Night Shift”. The film shoots in March 2017 and you can see the teaser poster below!
